3.1 Miles for 365 Days of Freedom: Your 6-Week Training Plan

The Mission

A 5K is 3.1 miles. For many, it’s a morning jog. For a victim of trafficking, those miles represent the distance between captivity and a new life. At Guardian Group, we don’t just run for fitness; we run to fund the victim identification that provides a path to freedom.

Whether you are a seasoned marathoner or haven’t laced up sneakers in years, this 6-week “Ferocious Resolve Training” plan is designed to get you across the finish line by May 1st. This plan uses a run/walk method to build endurance without injury. Download the training schedule.

3 Tips for Race Day Success

1. Know Your “Why”: When your lungs burn at Mile 2, remember that your registration fee is currently funding a victim identification for Law Enforcement. You aren’t just running; you’re fueling a recovery.

2. Hydrate & Recover: Training for a 5K is a physical commitment. Drink water, stretch your calves, and listen to your body. We need you healthy and ready for the long-term fight.

3. Map Your Route: Since this is a Virtual 5K, you choose the path. Find a trail that inspires you, or run through your neighborhood to show your Guardian Group colors to your neighbors.

“Courage is not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it.” As you train this month, let every step be a statement that freedom is worth the sweat.
