Guardian Group: 2021 Third Quarter Impact Update
As we close out the third quarter of 2021, we have a handful of exciting things to share.
We receive countless requests from volunteers and until now we have not had the capacity to train and vet each inquiry. With the launch of the PURSUIT™ Volunteer Training and Assessment course a process has been established that will allow the offensive efforts to scale drastically.
We have been testing this process of using volunteers with skills in OSINT (Open-Source Intelligence) research over the last year. We identified that volunteers, working whenever it was convenient for them, resulted in a 30% increase in victims identified and sex trafficking leads passed to law enforcement. With the launch of the course and the search for more volunteers with this analytical background we are excited to watch that number grow!
Our goal is to have 500 volunteers signed up for the course by January, National Human Trafficking Awareness month. If you want to check out the course or know someone who may be interested, you can access it for free here.
We are honored to have been named a Better Business Bureau 2021 Torch Awards Finalist!
A Torch Award is the most prestigious honor BBB presents to exceptional organizations for their dedication to integrity and ethical business practices. Guardian Group is one of 5 finalists in the nonprofit category for the state of Oregon and one of eighteen nonprofits named for the Great West + Pacific region.
Guardian Group has been deemed eligible to receive funding from Charities Aid Foundation America.
Since 1992, CAF America’s core mission has been to enable cross-border giving by Americans to validated charities and charitable projects across the world.
